I bought myself a slow cooker recently, and I absolutely love it. For someone like me who likes the idea of cooking but doesn't quite have the patience (or, frankly the skill) to make anything more complex than baked salmon (I put this and some olive oil on it - so good!) or a quinoa salad, a slow cooker will be your new best friend. I haven't used mine a ton, but what I have made has been quite good if I do say so myself. I've primarily tried simpler recipes just to get the hang of it, but I can't wait to try out some more exciting ones once the temperature dips a bit. I'm particularly excited to try out the Chicken Tikka Masala and the Seafood Gumbo. What about you - do you have a slow cooker? Does it seem too retro to you? Discuss!
