KARL at Net a Porter

The long awaited 'Karl' collection has finally landed at Net a Porter.

The line is overall definitely wearable and also relatively affordable (in comparison to Fendi and Chanel - I'm not sure if you can ever really consider $375 sequined leggings affordable).

The pieces are done in a monochromatic color scheme of black, white and silver with large doses of sequins and leather mixed with some conservative silhouettes. I would describe the collection as 'Futuristic Bad Girl Who Works in an Office But Likes to Party".

Some of the items are a little much for me but I mean...it's Karl. He knows what he's doing.

Check out some of my favorite items below, and check out the rest of the collection at Net a Porter. Let me know what you guys think!

HD Buttercup

Last weekend I went to HD Buttercup for the first time - I had heard it was a great furniture store, and they were having a huge sale so I figured I may as well check it out...and now I am obsessed.

I didn't realize that HD Buttercup is not only enormous (it used to be a giant bakery that catered to film sets and the like) but it is jam packed with absolutely beautiful furiture, decor, and inspiration. Some of my favorite things were their bright patterned pillows, large built-in cabinets with a sliding ladder (like in Beauty & the Beast!) and a large framed Slim Aarons photo. So cool!

After seeing a very cool kitchen table set with a matching very high price tag, I am going to copy  try to get the same look on an antique table that we bought. I'll show you guys once I am done - I am thinking sort of distressed looking white paint, grey fabric and nail head trim . Wish me luck!

In conclusion, HD Buttercup is amazing and is definitely a place that you should check out if you live in the LA area and are decorating or redecorating!

Window Seat/Reading Nook

We are currently in the midst of moving into a new apartment, which has some very cool features and additions, including a large ledge/bench by the window in the bedroom. I have been all excited about turning it into a cozy reading nook, but I still need to figure out what type of fabric/color/pattern I want to get the cushion created with.

Below are some of the goregous patterns and fabrics that I have been drooling over since last night when my sister told me about Calico Corners.

Let me know what you think and which ones you like best!

And then, just because...check out some pretty reading nook inspiration:
