These pictures are taken in the cute neighborhood of Pacific Palisades after a great brunch with my dad and sister at one of my favorite spots, Cafe Vida. I recommend checking it out if you're ever looking for a healthy lunch/brunch/snack!
The weather here in LA has been not quite warm but not quite cold, making it sort of difficult to figure out what to wear. I decided on a classic button down (this one from J Crew) but wanted to change things up a bit and add a little warmth, so I threw on a thin sweater (mine is vintage Missoni but this cardigan from Asos has a really similar look). My booties are from Belgian brand Noë, and my necklace is vintage.

On an unrelated note, I love that yesterday was designated 'Giving Tuesday'. I like shopping and deals as much (maybe more?) as the next girl, but it's such a great idea to remind people to share and help others.
Each Christmas I like to go on heifer.org, which is a really interesting charity site where you are able to buy certain items such as a goat or llama for a family in need (in places such as Rwanda) who will then be better able to sustain themselves. You can also donate a specific amount to help send a child to school or to help build a well for fresh water.
It's a nice to be able to think about how your donation is helping others rather than simply giving an amount of money with no idea how it will be used. If you are feeling giving, check it out and donate anything that you can - every dollar counts.
That's the end of my pitch - help spread the word and let's get the blogosphere giving!

i recently passed up a pair of brown cole haan booties similar to those. they were on sale but i opted for a j.crew sweater instead. every time i see a pair of booties i wonder if i made the right decision. yours are adorable!
