London Calling!

It was extremely for here over the weekend, so wearing fall clothes was out of the question. For a little shopping trip to the Fred Segal 50% off sale (I didn't get anything but I got my niece and nephew the cutest little baby Vans) I decided on some simple navy shorts, an old nautical inspired Marc by Marc Jacobs top, and a bunch of bracelets to keep the outfit from looking too simple.

My favorite bracelet is the bright red bangle that my friend Jen just sent me - it says 'London Calling' (it's from Kate Spade, you can buy it here!) and is very fitting, since we are heading to the UK next week! I am beyond excited; the two of us are spending a week in London and then I am going on a little Euro tour to ten different countries in three weeks. I'm crossing the adventure off of my 'sand bucket list' as my mom's friend recently said.

If you guys have any London tips I'd love to hear them!

  2. I hope you enjoy your trip to London! I can't wait to see your pictures and hear about the food. Make sure to go to an Indian restaurant, the Indian food out there is fantastic!

  3. OMG I love your outfit! Ah London tips...shoot...I don't have many, but I do agree with Ashley, the Indian food there is really good! Actually there's a good diversity of food in London, so lots of good restaurants!

  4. So jealous you're heading to London :) How many days will you be there for?

Apart from all of the tourist attractions like Westminster Abbey, Buckinham Palace etc.. Definitely visit Camden Market and try some of the delicious food from the vendors. If you have the chance I highly recommend Kew Gardens. It could possibly be the most peaceful place in London. Not sure if you're into museums, but visit the V&A. I've heard from many 'museum buffs' that this is the best. Brick Lane used to be known for it's curry but apparently now it's really touristy, overpriced and the quality has gone down. We went to an Indian restaurant called Tayyab's and it was reasonably priced and soo delicious! It was rated 1st or 2nd in London last year so try it out. You should also do the boat tour from the London Eye all the way to Greenwich. Well worth it :)

..Sorry for the long list.. I'm reminiscing of my time there :)

P.S. love your outfit as usual!! xx

  13. I love that bracelet, too! Kate Spade has such great jewelry. And I am so excited for you! A trip to London and traveling around Europe? That sounds so amazing. You'll have to give us your full itinerary before you leave. I have no travel advice for London but there are a few other cities I could help with!

  14. Love the easy going look and the additional bling! I'm literally going to miss you doll as I fly back to Greece. If you have any Q's, places etc drop me an email doll.

If you're staying in central London for a few days, it's worth getting an Oyster card for travelling on the tube/buses/trains and top up accordingly so you don't spend outrageous money on travel. It is expensive, but there are loads of deals/offers that come with the card.

There are plenty of decent restaurants in town without you having to spend loads plus pub food is also really good!

I'm pretty sure you're aware of all the shopping haunts - I like to start with one end of the street - Marble Arch and walk all the way down Oxford st so you don't miss a thing and then down regent st...
Lots of restaurants/bars on Market place off Oxford st if you get hungry.

As one of the readers mentioned Kew Gardens is gorgeous, and so is Richmond park -you'll get to see the deer! Both places are close to my heart as I grew up nearby!

Don't miss East London for another flavour/attitude/style! (Shoreditch, Hoxton, Dalston, Brick Lane & Spital Fields market - also fashion & restaurants there too)

    Enjoy!

  19. I've been missing London so much lately. I think next up for us is southern Scotland (mainly so that we can eat/drink/breath good Scotch for a week) but I'm hankering to get back to London too. Take lots of pictures!
