The Pier

Morning! I hope you all had a great long weekend - mine was busy and fun, but somehow I don't feel like I've had four days off. At least it's a short week!

We took these pictures at the Santa Monica Pier the other afternoon - typically, I try to avoid going on the pier during the summer because it is just insanely busy, but this was still relatively early and it wasn't too bad (that's a tip if you ever visit LA in the summer). It's fun to stop by and enjoy such a cool attraction which people come from all over to see, and is just a few blocks away from me!

The weather here is still quite warm, so I will have to wait to pull out anything too 'fall-y'. I paired navy shorts with leopard print flats (a must have, in my opinion - mine are old by Ralph Lauren, but these from Asos are awesome) and a chambray top which I cinched with a fun orange belt with a little gold frog on it (from Banana Republic, old, sadly). I think chambray tops are another versatile must have - they are just so easy and go with everything - this one is $53 and has a really great cut.

I hope you have a good Tuesday...if you are in NY for Fashion Week I'd love to hear about it!

  4. I love the idea of pairing chambray with a belt! Very jealous you live so close to the pier, I visited for the 1st time last summer & loved it :) I'm one of those tourists that make it too busy/crowded for all of the locals haha.
