A few weekends ago we went to the Hotel Wilshire's rooftop lounge for my friend Liz's (above in red) going away party. The relatively nondescript looking hotel is located on a stretch of Wilshire Boulevard near the Miracle Mile and is surrounded by office buildings, a parking lot and a McDonalds - not exactly where you'd expect a beautiful rooftop lounge, but that's exactly what there was!
The roof offers panoramic views of the city and features an inviting pool surrounded by comfy cabanas, plenty of table seating and an amazing fire pit (I love fire pits). They have a great wine list, an extensive drink list and plenty of interesting snacks - we were going for dinner after so I didn't eat too much, but the chicken satay wings that I did try were delish!
I highly recommend checking this place out next time you are looking for a pool scene that isn't too much of a 'pool scene'. Visit the website here.
