Last night we went for sushi at a local spot, Ninjin. It's kind of nondescript (in the way that a lot of sushi restaurants are, come to think of it) but is almost always busy, and features fresh, affordable sushi as well as healthy options like adding brown rice or having your sushi in cucumber in lieu of rice... I haven't actually tried that yet but I suppose it sounds good if you're on a low carb diet.
I like to get their dinner option - it comes with miso soup, a side salad (with an amazing ginger dressing) and the option to choose a protein and a sushi roll - I typically get teriyaki salmon or chicken and a spicy tuna roll. All this is about $12! If you're in Santa Monica and don't feel like spending a ton of money at SugarFISH, I recommend stopping by.
We took these pictures on our way to the restaurant - this is an outfit that I wore to work yesterday. I bought the polka dot top recently from the Gap (during an event hosted by Hillary Kerr from Who What Wear - so cool!) and paired it with navy shorts (the ones from J Crew that I keep talking about), Delman wedges, a couple of bracelets and my Chanel bag.
You can still buy the Gap shirt here (it's really soft and awesome) but if you do, beware that it runs a bit large - I'd go a size down.
