cruising

I look kind of cranky in some of these pictures, but I swear I wasn't! I've been away for a few weekends and haven't really had the chance to bike much lately (which makes me sad, I'm obsessed with my bike) so Justin and I decided to ride over to Urth Caffe for brunch on Sunday morning. We stopped along the way to snap these pictures in front of the quintessentially 'Californian' Santa Monica City Hall. The design of the building is a mix of art deco and art moderne - isn't it cool looking?

I have a bit of a sunburn on my back so I wanted to keep covered up, and this silky tunic seemed the perfect thing to wear. I got it in Paris a few years ago and absolutely love it, even though the embellishments are starting to fall off. I just can't get rid of it! I wore it with my favorite shorts from J Crew (I sort of hate shorts, but these I love and have in a few colors), a simple gold bracelet (this cuff from BaublebBar is amazing) and some Jack Rogers sandals. This tunic isn't embellished but it has a similar cut to mine and looks like something very useful to own!

I just realized my outfit features a lot of the same stuff as my Malibu post - oops!
