Bungalow

Last weekend we checked out The Bungalow, Brent Bolthouse's (of The Hills fame) recently opened a beach-y bar at the Fairmont Hotel in Santa Monica. I had heard from friends that it was awesome, but it actually exceeded my expectations.

The Bungalow is housed in an old bungalow (hence the name) near the entrance to the hotel, and has been transformed into an amazing lounge with an expansive patio (with fire pits!).The lounge is decorated in a cozy, eclectic style that make you feel like you are hanging out at a friends beach house, and serves really great drinks. If you've ever been to Montauk this place reminds me of The Surf Lodge.

I literally loved everything about this laid back but still chic lounge, and the fact that it's within walking distance to my apartment is just the icing on the cake. I definitely recommend visiting The Bungalow next time you're in the Santa Monica - and even if you're not, it's worth the trek across town, I promise.
