Magnolia Bakery (the amazing NY based cupcake shop of Sex and the City fame) opened a location in LA nearly two years ago, but I only just had the chance to check it out.
I'm pretty into cupcakes (but who isn't? If you don't like cupcakes, you're not a friend of mine and also probably lying to yourself) and had been meaning to check out this new-ish location for quite some time so when my boyfriend and I found ourselves on West 3rd Street the other day, it was pretty obvious that we had to get a little something despite having just eaten a giant brunch.
The shop is larger than a lot of the cupcake shops/bakeries in LA, and the cupcakes are just as good and definitely worth derailing your healthy eating plan for the day - there is plenty of seating as well which is nice.
Do yourself a favour and stop in next time you find yourself in that area, I promise you'll be happy that you did!

You look so darling. I think the next big thing (after cupcakes) will be the French macaroons...we just got a little shop in Fashion Island that sells them like Laduree in Paris.
ReplyDeleteMagnolias is a special place. Husband and I used to walk over there almost every night to share a cupcake when we were first dating back in NYC. You look adorable as always! thanks for your sweet words over on my blog and yes, we NEED to set something up soon :)
