SHORE Bar

Last Saturday I checked out SHORE bar, a brand new spot located just a few steps from the beach on a fairly quiet street off of the PCH that is lined with (semi) under the radar but amazing restaurants - Giorgio Baldi, Caffe Delfini & my favorite, the Hungry Cat, to name a few.

SHORE bar is housed in a relatively small space, but the gorgeous inside makes up for it. The bar is decorated in a nautical theme, but done right; some spots in LA can come off a little contrived with their "Hamptons Theme" (I'm talking about you, Colony nightclub). With SHORE bar, the dark wood, nautical stripes, white beams and vinyl seats give the perfect nod to the East Coast, with only a few requisite vintage life preservers thrown in for good measure. A friend of mine from the East Coast said the bar reminded her of her parent's basement, but "in a good way". Good job SHORE Bar.

the outside of the bar is a ship, so you know it's got to be good

If you're in the area, I highly recommend stopping by for a drink or a snack, and I'd do it soon before it gets too crazy busy and popular. Apparently Katy Perry was there the night I was, so I have a feeling that SHORE bar might not remain as low key as it has been so far, though I hope that it does!
