Hello! I am back from the South, and I had the best and busiest time. We went on a horse drawn carriage tour, saw the Angel Oak (a giant 1500 year old tree), visited the Coca Cola museum, saw Margaret Mitchell's house (the author of Gone with the Wind), ate chicken and waffles, went to the beach and visited a plantation.
It was a busy three days! Below are some of the pictures from my trip:
| me and my friend Jen in downtown Charleston |
| I was really obsessed with the architecture - I took quite literally over 300 pictures of houses |
| I loved this golf cart with the flags and the puppies. So Americana. |
| I want one of these amazing beach homes! |
| part of the Middleton Plantation home |
| we ate boiled peanuts from this stand - the guy selling them has been there for over 20 years! |

| Margaret Mitchell museum/her apartment |
I absolutely love Charleston! Such a gorgeous city! Your pictures make me want to go back there...
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a fantastic time! I would have done the same - taken loads of pictures of homes/architecture! Thanks for sharing, I love seeing photos of other places.
ReplyDeleteOh and this weekend - you should really have a go at doing the smokey eye look - I think you'd look super gorgeous!

What a fun trip Whitney! I adore Charleston and of course I am biased to Atlanta :) Someone recently asked me for tips on travel to Atlanta and I misplaced the email. (I'm sorry if it was you!) Sounds like you saw some great highlights with Coke and Margaret Mitchell house.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your sweet comment on the blog today too :)
