Soleil Restaurant
For Canada Day I organized a dinner at Soleil Restaurant in Westwood, a little French Canadian bistro that I had read makes really great poutine. In case you don't know (like most of my skeptical American friends who I made come with me) poutine is a popular French Canadian dish made of french fries, cheese curds and gravy - sounds weird, but I promise you it's good!
We tried a some of their gourmet takes on poutine as well as a few other dishes, and everything was great.
Even if you don't particularly want poutine (though you should at least try it!) I recommend checking out Soleil.
